Meret Oppenheim was a surrealist artist. A lot of her work was tied to feminine sexuality. She took everyday objects and transformed them into something else. The bottom photograph is her most well know works. Just thinking about using that spoon and cup is disgusting! all of that hair/fur in you mouth...yuck!! The middle photograph is my favorite. I find it rather comical that she has changed a pair of high heeled shoes into a roasted chicken.
